Paul will be speaking about securing quality CEIAG in schools in the context of 2014’s policy framework; advocating the three-pronged approach to quality assurance and promoting positive case studies as well as a ‘model template of key actions for schools to consider and address.

Paul & Alison were long-time friends with Rob & his wife Anne. Paul & Rob worked together through the Institute of Careers Guidance and in the Pathfinder Careers Charity. It was Paul’s honour to play a part, sharing leadership with the Rev. Pepita Walker in Rob’s special service of thanksgiving and his burial. Alison sang in the choir too. RIP to our dear old friend. Paul is delivering a keynote address, reviewing the OFSTED THEMATIC SURVEY (& ‘so what’?) leading to outlining his views on the 8 steps every school should take to ensure they deliver high quality CEIAG for all of their students.

Paul joins CfBT OFSTED User Impact Forum 3.12.13

Paul has been invited to join the Forum (advisory group) which provides strategic advisory support to the CfBT Inspection Services team which provides the Associate Inspectors for all Ofsted inspections currently across the whole of the north of England. He hopes to bring his depth of knowledge and commitment to CEIAG matters to the Forum’s work now that the Careers Guidance statutory duty of schools is to feature in all mainstream inspections. The first meeting he attends is 3rd December.

Alison completes another matrix Standard assessment in Leeds – 22.11.13

Paul leads a workshop for Dudley’s schools, colleges and the LA on HMG policy for careers guidance for young people, including an 8 step self-assessment for schools.
