Paul’s update on work, the Dales School and church: July 2019

Paul has been busy with Quality in Careers work throughout the first half of this year, including chairing four relicensing panels for Awarding Bodies (CSW Group, Prospects, C & K Careers and Positive Steps – Inspiring IAG). Since April the DfE has awarded the Quality in Careers Consortium to support the Consortium’s work – which is excellent news.

In April Paul was appointed as the Company Secretary for Axia Digital (Ireland) Ltd – a subsidiary of the company Paul already acts as Company Secretary for (Citizen Connect Ltd trading as Axia Digital).

In August 2001 Paul was appointed to the Governing Body of the Dales School. Since that time he has served on the Governing Body up to this month, including two periods as Chair of Governors. Yesterday he chaired his final meeting of the Governors, handing over the chair to a fine Parent Governor. So Paul has now retired from the Governing Body after his 18 years of service at this “most special of Special Schools”.

Paul continues to serve as a Licensed Lay Minister (Reader) in the Church of England. Serving in the Benefice of the Lower Swale which has been in ‘vacancy’ without an ordained priest since April last year. So Paul has been most busy leading Morning Worship Services most Sundays and monthly Evensongs.
